Overview
Eletrictrip was a five-person team project focused on route planning for electric vehicles.
Problem and context
An electric-vehicle route cannot be evaluated only by geographic distance. Vehicle autonomy, the availability of charging infrastructure, and travel cost all affect whether a route is feasible and useful.
What was built
The team developed a web application that incorporated:
- vehicle autonomy;
- charging-station availability;
- travel-cost constraints;
- route-planning logic.
My contribution
I contributed as a member of the five-person team to translating the mobility constraints into the application’s backend and algorithmic logic.
Technical approach
The backend logic used PHP and Java, with optimization algorithms representing the relevant route constraints.
No optimization performance metrics or production deployment claims are made because those measurements and deployment details were not provided.
